This page contains all the entries for Goodworth marriagess in England and Wales from 1837 to 1903 that I have been able to find in the Civil Registration Indexes so far. Some entries are not easy to read so please do not rely on the information here if you are ordering certificates. If anyone does order certificates on the basis of this information I would appreciate it if you could let me know (and use) the information in them.

Marriages complete for 1837-1881. This information came from a microfilm copy of the Index held at Leeds Central Library.  All the quarters up to 1881 should now be covered either by the list here or by the information at  freebmd (http://freebmd.rootsweb.org), which is gradually capturing all the index information from 1837 to 100 years ago. In consequence I do not propose to fill in any of the remaining gaps from 1881 to 1901. I have started collecting bmd information from 1902 onwards but will not be publishing it on the website - if you have specific Goodworth-related queries please contact me as I may already have the index info. and/or be able to get it for you on my next trip to Leeds.

I have not looked for other name variations as they seem to be very rare ("Goodwith" is probably the only variation worth looking for after 1837) and substantially slow down the search.

Other points to note:
 a. These entries are only for England and Wales.
 b. Scotland had its own system, and I will publish the one or two entries I have found in that system later
 c. I do not know what information was collected or survives from this period in Ireland, which had been from 1800 or 1801 part of the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland". If anyone knows, please let me know!
